Abstract Contingency analysis is significant for power system protection. Internal component failures or external causes such as lightning and equipment overloading can cause contingencies. Multiple outage scenarios are crucial in today’s deregulated environment how the transmission network utilized. The highly pressured due to rising load demand need operate economically. of an IEEE 30 bus provided this article utilizing Matpower software, which includes source code. Matlab suggested platforms developing a screening process that examines severity each non-islanding branch failure, generator outage, MVA, voltage violation. terminal voltages will be permitted fluctuate between 0.95 per unit 1.05 unit, specified case30 input data files, provide broader practical zone. performance index (PI) value generated by adding apparent rank line outages.
